Dr. Carrie Louise Daenell is a licensed Naturopathic Physician (ND) and currently practices as a wellness consultant in the Cherry Creek area of Denver, Colo.

Her specialty areas include: healing the aging metabolism, digestion, menopause, hormonal issues, chronic fatigue, allergies, hepatitis, cholesterol levels, arthritis and immune challenges. 

What she loves about being an ND

Q: What is the best part of your job?

A: It is such an honor and privilege to sit with people who are struggling, sometimes to the core of their being, and to be permitted to be part of the struggle and therefore part of the solution. I feel very confident as a clinician because naturopathic medicine for me is not a theory. I don't wonder if it works. It gave me my life back. I love working with people who suffer the most because I know I can help them. And that is one of the most satisfying feelings of all.

Previously the managing editor of The Journal of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Daenell has recently co-authored the book Better Breast Health for Life. She speaks both locally and internationally, and writes locally and nationally for physicians and lay persons on the topic of natural health. She is past president of the Colorado Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and has served on the board of directors for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP).

She is a guest professor of rheumatology at Bastyr University, where she earned her degree in Naturopathic Medicine; and professor of gynecology at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM), where she created the Carrie Louise Daenell, ND, Advanced Gynecology Scholarship for students at SCNM.
